Meet the Founder

Teresa Guastella

Teresa's entrepreneurial spirit began in 2004. Her experience comes from her international flavor and her love for bringing to life a fully transformed experience from function to form and from product to space design. She says these are connecting attributes that continue to help in her unique style and vibe.

Her experience and passion in space and design began early in her career while working for a hospitality and hotel marketing firm as a Product Brand Manager. Her role was to participate in the décor and furniture design process for indoor and outdoor hospitality spaces. She later began working as an Executive in the hotel industry for Marriott and Hilton. Eventually, she started her own business servicing her clientele in logistical convention, production design, and planning. She was later hired to re-open and manage a small boutique hotel in France while helping to curate the Festival of Musique. Once returning to America, she was recruited to work for a large creative & live event production agency based out of Boca Raton, FL, as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for the experiential creative journey with her client base.

Newest Endeavor

Teresa has always been about creating brand (s) that make an impact for the lives of others. She says, for years—she honed her skills, practiced her craft, and committed herself to building businesses from the ground up. It has always been a labor of love, and it is a journey that she would embark on more than once.

Loola and Totik are the newest endeavors (previously Studio Calathea) that she and her team have since brought to market with a newly approved patented high-end series of solar lanterns with plans to utilize the designs into further applications in homewares, lifestyle, eco-friendly, and lifestyle products. Their new innovative products solve problems for consumers with sustainable lights and products in the event hospitality, indoor, outdoor, lifestyle and décor markets. With the company’s products within several stores this has resulted in thousands of foldable lanterns sent out worldwide from small mom-and-pop stores to large distributers and into impacted communities who have needed disaster and emergency preparedness support.

Proudest Career & Personal Moments

In a career spanning two decades, her team has had great success. Aside from helping her clients with great results and a return on their marketing investments, she is most proud of the relationships she forged with her customers and colleagues. Her longest and fondest friendships are with these clients and colleagues she has worked with for years and has partnered with to achieve tremendous professional goals. She says that the relationships we have built and continue to build far outweigh the business goals. She attributes this to the tremendous success of the two.
